Bunătăţile Domnului nu s-au sfârşit nici pentru tine :)

In mainile lui Dumnezeu

Cu siguranta ca il insotim pe Iosif cu compasiunea noastra in timp ce este vandut ca rob, umilit si, mai tarziu, aruncat in lanturi si uitat. Dar nu ar trebui sa pierdem din vedere faptul ca, daca la vremea aceea mila omeneasca l-ar fi salvat si l-ar fi crutat de la rusine, umilinta si robie, atunci gloriosul final care a urmat, cu toate binecuvantarile si avantajele pe care le-a adus el pentru oamenii din toate veacurile, ar fi fost pierdut.

Cu toate acestea, Iosif nu a facut niciun efort sa scape. S-a lasat in mainile Domnului. El credea ca Dumnezeu este la carma, chiar daca nu putea intelege directia in care il conducea. Dumnezeu avea sa "poarte de grija".


Avea sa se ingrijeasca de toate lucrurile . El facuse intotdeauna lucrul acesta pentru inaintasii lui . Avea sa-l faca si acum. Nu daduse gres niciodata. Nu avea sa dea gres nici acum.

Iosif avea sa lase totul in mana lui Dumnezeu. El credea, si credea bine, ca se afla sub protectia lui Iehova. A acceptat situatia in care se gasea, asa cum fusese ingaduita de Domnul. In consecinta, s-a adaptat noilor conditii cu un spirit de multumire si implinind de bunavoie si cu tot ceea ce depindea de el ceea ce i se cerea sa faca.


Aceasta atitudine l-a determinat pe stapanul lui sa aiba incredere in el. Nu a trecut mult pana cand Potifar si-a dat seama ca era in avantajul lui sa aseze din ce in ce mai multe responsabilitati in mainile acestui sclav harnic si priceput.

In cele din urma, el nu i-a mai retinut nimic, incredintandu-si toata casa si toate bunurile in grija lui Iosif. "Egipteanul a lasat pe mainile lui Iosif tot ce avea."

Ca rezultat al resemnarii cu propria soarta, ca venind de la Domnul, in fata lui Iosif s-au deschis oportunitati pretioaseprin promovarea lui in postul de administrator al casei lui Potifar.

Daca fusese voia lui Dumnezeu ca el sa fie sclav, era hotarat sa fie multumit cu nimic mai putin decat sa fie cel mai bun sclav. Tot ce ii cerea aceasta pozitie avea sa faca din toata inima si cu toate puterile, ca pentru Domnul.

Acesta este spiritul care poate transforma chiar si sclavia intr-o oportunitate de progres si de prosperitate.

Omul care intampina experientele vietii in acest spirit nu poate fi tinut in stare de subjugare. Nenorocirile, dezamagirile si nedreptatile sunt transformate in trepte catre mai sus.

Omul care are un astfel de spirit invata cel mai pretios secret al vietii. In scoala din casa lui Potifar si in experienta temnitei, care i-a urmat, Iosif a invatat cum sa fie prim-ministru al celui mai mare imperiu al lumii.

Mai mult decat atat, el a invatat cum sa intampine nedreptatea, rautatea, cruzimea, tratamentul inuman si ispita astfel incat acestea sa nu-i faca niciun rau; cum sa-si pastreze inima buna si blanda, cum sa-si pastreze mintea clara, cum sa-si pastreze spiritul curajos si puternic si cum sa-si pastreze credinta in Dumnezeu curata si stralucitoare.

O scoala care asigura o asemenea educatie este de cea mai mare valoare. Iosif trebuie sa fi pastrat mereu dupa aceea, in inima lui, un simtamant de apreciere pentru aceasta "alma mater" de care avusese parte.

What Jesus Did! - Tomorrow

So don't worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Tomorrow will have its own worries.
- Matthew 6:34 (ERV)

THOUGHT:

As we ponder these words of Jesus, we must recognize that worry and planning ahead are different things. Jesus said that is is unreasonable not to do some essential planning. (Luke 14:28-31) Still, most of us have battled worry at some point in our lives.

We go to bed with that nagging concern about what will happen "tomorrow." (Clearly Jesus is referring to worrying about what will happen in the future and not just literally tomorrow.) It may be a conflict that troubles us. It may be a mess at the office that must be confronted. It may be facing someone who has hurt us or that we have hurt. It may be that financial doubt about paying bills and having to face the note holders. Jesus wants us to let go of our anxiety.

We must live in the present moment. There are too many opportunities we could miss today by worrying about what might happen tomorrow. The Lord could come between now and tomorrow and all our worry would have been silliness.

The Lord may be at work in the situation during today, in ways we could not foresee, and our problems are not as insurmountable as they seem today. Or, even if the bad thing were to happen, our worry will have needlessly stolen the joy out of today. Let's make sure we fill up today with God's Kingdom priorities and then we can deal with tomorrow’s mess when, and if, it ever comes.

PRAYER:

Almighty and sustaining God, I believe tomorrow is in your hands, so I will rest myself in your grace today as I seek to live for you. Please open my eyes to see the opportunities you provide today so that I can serve you and do your Kingdom work with focus, courage, and clarity. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
