1. Acum, aşa vorbeşte Domnul care te-a făcut, Iacove, şi Cel ce te-a întocmit, Israele! „Nu te teme de nimic, căci Eu te izbăvesc, te chem pe nume: eşti al Meu.
2. Dacă vei trece prin ape, Eu voi fi cu tine; şi râurile nu te vor îneca; dacă vei merge prin foc, nu te va arde, şi flacăra nu te va aprinde.
3. Căci Eu sunt Domnul Dumnezeul tău, Sfântul lui Israel, Mântuitorul tău! Eu dau Egiptul ca preţ pentru răscumpărarea ta, Etiopia şi Saba, în locul tău.
4. De aceea, pentru că ai preţ în ochii Mei, pentru că eşti preţuit şi te iubesc, dau oameni pentru tine şi popoare pentru viaţa ta.
5. Nu te teme de nimic, căci Eu sunt cu tine. (Isaia 43 )
Psalmul 18
1.Te iubesc din inimă, Doamne, tăria mea! 1 I love you, O LORD, my strength.
2. Doamne, Tu eşti stânca mea,
cetăţuia mea, izbăvitorul meu! Dumnezeule, Tu eşti stânca mea în care mă ascund, scutul meu, tăria care mă scapă şi întăritura mea!
2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn [a] of my salvation, my stronghold.
3. Eu strig: „Lăudat să fie Domnul!”, şi sunt izbăvit de vrăjmaşii mei.
3 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.
4. Mă înconjuraseră legăturile morţii şi mă îngroziseră râurile pieirii;
4 The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.
5. mă înfăşuraseră legăturile mormântului şi mă prinseseră laţurile morţii.
5 The cords of the grave [b] coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me.
6. Dar, în strâmtorarea mea, am chemat pe Domnul şi am strigat către Dumnezeul meu: din locaşul Lui, El mi-a auzit glasul, şi strigătul meu a ajuns până la El, până la urechile Lui.
6 In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.
7. Atunci s-a zguduit pământul şi s-a cutremurat, temeliile munţilor s-au mişcat şi s-au clătinat, pentru că El Se mâniase.
7 The earth trembled and quaked,
and the foundations of the mountains shook;
they trembled because he was angry.
8. Din nările Lui se ridica fum, şi un foc mistuitor ieşea din gura Lui: cărbuni aprinşi ţâşneau din ea.
8 Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it.
9. A plecat cerurile şi S-a coborât: un nor gros era sub picioarele Lui.
9 He parted the heavens and came down; dark clouds were under his feet.
10 He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wngs of the wind.
10. Călărea pe un heruvim şi zbura, venea plutind pe aripile vântului.
11 He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him— the dark rain clouds of the sky.
11. Întunericul Şi-l făcuse învelitoare, iar cortul Lui, împrejurul Lui, erau nişte ape întunecoase şi nori negri.
12 Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning.
12. Din strălucirea care se răsfrângea înaintea Lui ieşeau nori care aruncau grindină şi cărbuni de foc.
13 The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded. [c]
13. Domnul a tunat în ceruri, Cel Preaînalt a făcut să-I răsune glasul cu grindină şi cărbuni de foc.
14 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemies , great bolts of lightning and routed them.
14. A aruncat săgeţi şi a risipit pe vrăjmaşii mei, a înmulţit loviturile trăsnetului şi i-a pus pe fugă.
15 The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at your rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of breath from your nostrils.
15. Atunci s-a văzut albia apelor şi s-au descoperit temeliile lumii, la mustrarea Ta, Doamne, la vuietul suflării nărilor Tale.
16 He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters.
16. El Şi-a întins mâna de sus, m-a apucat, m-a scos din apele cele mari;
17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.
17. m-a izbăvit de potrivnicul meu cel puternic, de vrăjmaşii mei, care erau mai tari decât mine.
18 They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support.
18. Ei năvăliseră deodată peste mine în ziua strâmtorării mele; dar Domnul a fost sprijinul meu.
19 He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.
19. El m-a scos la loc larg şi m-a scăpat, pentru că mă iubeşte.
20 The LORD has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.
20. Domnul mi-a făcut după neprihănirea mea, mi-a răsplătit după curăţia mâinilor mele:
21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD; I have not done evil by turning from my God.
21. căci am păzit căile Domnului şi n-am păcătuit împotriva Dumnezeului meu.
22 All his laws are before me; I have not turned away from his decrees.
22. Toate poruncile Lui au fost înaintea mea şi nu m-am depărtat de la legile Lui.
23 I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin.
23. Am fost fără vină faţă de El şi m-am păzit de fărădelegea mea.
24 The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.
24. De aceea, Domnul mi-a răsplătit după neprihănirea mea, după curăţia mâinilor mele înaintea ochilor Lui.
25 To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless,
25. Cu cel bun Tu Te arăţi bun, cu omul neprihănit Te arăţi neprihănit;
26 to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd.
26. cu cel curat Te arăţi curat, şi cu cel stricat Te porţi după stricăciunea lui.
27 You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.
27. Tu mântuieşti pe poporul care se smereşte şi smereşti privirile trufaşe.
28 You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.
28. Da, Tu îmi aprinzi lumina mea. Domnul Dumnezeul meu îmi luminează întunericul meu.
29 With your help I can advance against a troop [d] ; with my God I can scale a wall.
29. Cu Tine mă năpustesc asupra unei oşti înarmate, cu Dumnezeul meu sar peste un zid întărit.
30 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.
30. Căile lui Dumnezeu sunt desăvârşite, cuvântul Domnului este încercat: El este un scut pentru toţi cei ce aleargă la El.
31 For who is God besides the LORD ? And who is the Rock except our God?
31. Căci cine este Dumnezeu, afară de Domnul, şi cine este o stâncă, afară de Dumnezeul nostru?
32 It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.
32. Dumnezeu mă încinge cu putere şi mă povăţuieşte pe calea cea dreaptă.
33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.
33. El îmi face picioarele ca ale cerboaicelor şi mă aşază pe înălţimile mele.
34 He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
34. El îmi deprinde mâinile la luptă, aşa că braţele mele întind arcul de aramă.
35 You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great.
35. Tu îmi dai scutul mântuirii Tale, dreapta Ta mă sprijină, şi îndurarea Ta mă face mare.
36 You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn.
36. Tu lărgeşti drumul sub paşii mei, şi nu-mi alunecă gleznele.
37 I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed.
37. Urmăresc pe vrăjmaşii mei, îi ajung şi nu mă întorc până nu-i nimicesc.
38 I crushed them so that they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet.
38. Îi zdrobesc, de nu pot să se mai ridice: ei cad sub picioarele mele.
39 You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet.
39. Tu mă încingi cu putere pentru luptă şi răpui pe potrivnicii mei sub picioarele mele.
40 You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes.
40. Tu faci pe vrăjmaşii mei să dea dosul înaintea mea, şi eu nimicesc pe cei ce mă urăsc.
41 They cried for help, but there was no one to save them— to the LORD, but he did not answer.
41. Ei strigă, dar n-are cine să-i scape! Strigă către Domnul, dar nu le răspunde!
42 I beat them as fine as dust borne on the wind; I poured them out like mud in the streets.
42. Îi pisez ca praful pe care-l ia vântul, îi calc în picioare ca noroiul de pe uliţe.
43 You have delivered me from the attacks of the people; you have made me the head of nations; people I did not know are subject to me.
43. Tu mă scapi din neînţelegerile poporului; mă pui în fruntea neamurilor; un popor pe care nu-l cunoşteam îmi este supus.
44 As soon as they hear me, they obey me; foreigners cringe before me.
44. El ascultă de mine la cea dintâi poruncă, fiii străinului mă linguşesc.
45 They all lose heart; they come trembling from their strongholds.
45. Fiilor străinului li se înmoaie inima de mine şi ies tremurând din cetăţuile lor.
46 The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior!
46. Trăiască Domnul şi binecuvântată să fie Stânca mea! Mărit să fie Dumnezeul mântuirii mele,
47 He is the God who avenges me, who subdues nations under me,
47. Dumnezeu, Răzbunătorul meu, care îmi supune popoarele
48 who saves me from my enemies. You exalted me above my foes; from violent men you rescued me.
48. şi mă izbăveşte de vrăjmaşii mei! Tu mă înalţi mai presus de potrivnicii mei, mă scapi de omul asupritor.
49 Therefore I will praise you among the nations, O LORD; I will sing praises to your name.
49. De aceea, Doamne, Te voi lăuda printre neamuri, voi cânta spre slava Numelui Tău.
50 He gives his king great victories; he shows unfailing kindness to his anointed, to David and his descendants forever.
50. El dă mari izbăviri împăratului Său şi dă îndurare unsului Său: lui David şi seminţei lui pe vecie.
