Sa faci , o , Isuse...

Blândul păstor

Odata L-am vazut trecând
Cu turma pe păstorul blând
Mergea cu dânsa la izvor
Blândul păstor, blândul păstor

Pe-o oaie ce cazuse jos
A ridicat-o el frunos
Si-a dus-o-n brate iubitor
Blândul păstor, blândul păstor

Pe alta care la pamânt
Zacea cu piciorusul frânt
El o lega mângâietor
Blândul păstor, blândul păstor

El le-a iubit cu dor nespus
Si viata pentru oi si-a pus
Si pentru mântuirea lor
Blândul păstor, blândul păstor

Iar mai târziu L-am întâlnit
Cu spini era împodobit
Într-o multime de popor
Blândul păstor, blândul păstor

Când L-am vazut L-am întrebat
Cine sunt cei ce L-au scuipat
Atunci a suspinat usor
Blândul păstor, blândul păstor

Si mi-a raspuns duios si lin
Cei ce mi-au pus cununi de spini
Sunt oile ce le-am fost lor
Un blând păstor, un blând păstor

Iar cei ce ma batjocoresc
Si cei ce crucea-Mi pregatesc
Sunt cei la care iubitor
Le-am fost păstor,le-am fost păstor

Iar cei ce ma lovesc turbati
Sunt oile care pe brat
Le-am dus la câmp si la izvor
Ca un păstor, ca un păstor

Tacu si ochii lui senini
De lacrimi limpezi erau plini
Plângea de mila oilor
Blândul păstor, blândul păstor

Si-atuncea oile-au venit
Pe cruce sus L-au rastignit
Iar El plângea de mila lor
Blândul păstor, blândul păstor

What Jesus Did! - Model Prayer

So when you pray, you should pray like this: 'Our Father in heaven, we pray that your name will always be kept holy. We pray that your kingdom will come, and that the things you want will be done here on earth, the same as in heaven.

Give us the food we need for each day. Forgive the sins we have done, the same as we have forgiven the people that did wrong to us. Don't let us be tempted (tested); but save us from the Evil One (the devil).'
- Matthew 6:9-13 (ERV)

THOUGHT:

Much has been written about Jesus' model prayer. Rather than something to be blindly recited, this is a short guide for disciples on how to pray. The prayer easily divides into two parts: first, we recognize the inestimable greatness of God, and then we recognize our dependency upon him.

As the previous verses indicate, God is our Father whom we can approach freely as Father, while at the same time revering his holiness. The first three petitions ask God to accomplish his ultimate will in our world and reveal his holy purposes to all people.

The second three acknowledge our need for sustenance, forgiveness, and strength to face the rigors of daily spiritual and physical life. Bottom line: prayer doesn't need to be eloquent, but reverent of God, penitent before God, and dependent upon God while approaching him with confidence as his children.

PRAYER:

Holy and tender Father, I pray that you exert your power in our world and work your will in irrefutable and glorious ways. I trust you to fill my daily needs as I depend upon your mercy and grace to forgive me and empower me to forgive. May my life be used in your service to accomplish your will. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Related Scriptures:

Look! You are our father! Abraham doesn't know us. Israel (Jacob) does not recognize us. Lord, you are our father! You are the One who has always saved us! - Isaiah 63:16

But Lord, you are our father. We are like clay. And you are the potter. Your hands made us all. - Isaiah 64:8

You pray to God and call him Father. God judges each man's work equally. So while you are visiting {here on earth}, you should live with fear (respect) for God. - 1 Peter 1:17

There Is A God

There Is A God ...There Is A God ...There Is A God !

What Jesus Did! - Few Words are Needed

"And when you pray, don't be like those people that don't know God. They continue saying things that mean nothing. Don't pray like that. They think that God will hear them because of the many things they say. Don't be like those people. Your Father knows the things you need before you ask him.
- Matthew 6:7-8 (ERV)

THOUGHT:

The Stoic Philosopher Seneca made fun of the pagans of his day "fatiguing the gods" with their prayers. Jesus warns his followers not to follow the same course. Senseless babbling and the heaping up of repetitious phrases do not win us an audience with God. Prayer is not about magic formulas or fancy speech. Prayer is about our confidence in the Father's knowing us and responding to our needs. Under this understanding, our words don't need to be special or effusive, just heartfelt and genuine!

PRAYER:

Holy and righteous Father, thank you for hearing my simple words that come from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for blessings. Please forgive me for my sins and guard me from evil. Use me in astounding ways that bring you glory! Empower me to do your will. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Related Scriptures:

"You people will raise your arms to pray to me--but I will refuse to look at you. You people will say more and more prayers--but I will refuse to listen to you. Why? Because your hands are covered with blood. - Isaiah 1:15

Be very careful when you go to worship God. It is better to listen {to God} than to give sacrifices like foolish people. Foolish people often do bad things, and they don't even know it. Be careful when you make promises to God. Be careful about the things you say to God.
Don't let your feelings cause you to speak too soon. God is in heaven, and you are on the earth. So you need to say only a few things to God. This saying is true: Bad dreams come with too many worries, and a fool with too many words. - Ecclesiastes 5:1-3

{You are not like God}--you are evil. But you know how to give good things to your children. So surely your heavenly Father will give good things to those people that ask him. - Matthew 7:11
